On Jan 3 at 3:57p HST my mom passed away, less than an hour after I arrived at her bedside in her long-term care home. I held her hand and played The Beetles’ Here Comes the Sun as she took her final breath. She was waiting for me.
In many ways I’ve been waiting for this moment for most of my life with her life full of pain, mental health problems, and addiction. It wasn’t easy being her. And it wasn’t easy being her daughter.
I’m still processing all that has happened, you can never be prepared, no matter how prepared you are. The waves of relief, sadness, grief, regret, for a mother-daughter relationship that was far from ideal.
For the first podcast episode of 2023, I want to share a story about grief, love, loss, lessons from my Mom, and of course astrology⁠

I want to share this story to help me process and reflect, to share my perspective on a taboo subject but also to show you, that every day the sun rises you are making choices that add up to the sum of your star-powered life. ⁠
